Our organizations have partnered with health professionals from the United States and Canada providing psychological first aid training across North America.

Our goal is to break down the stigma around mental health and give organizations the tools they need to empower their employees by introducing ways to control anxiety and manage their “fight or flight”.

Programs are delivered to mixed audiences including Human Resources, Supervisors, Managers, Chief Officers, Union Representatives, OH&S; customizable to any group or size.

The one-hour presentation demonstrates effective ways to make change and highlights the many benefits that can arise from the simple practice of understanding mental illness in the workplace. This presentation has been delivered to all levels of staff; human resources, supervisors, managers, union representatives and human resources.

It’s time for change when it comes to mental health in the workplace. Employees fighting depression and mental illness are working two jobs, the job at hand and the toughest one, getting out of bed each morning.

Our presentations opens the minds of his audience, introducing new ways of improving and maintaining morale while providing insight from his personal experiences; highlighting the ways in which one can help family members, friends and coworkers who may be struggling with mental health issues.

Our speakers deliver proven methods on how to help an employee who is suffering, and offers resources available to help with recovery after a mental health event takes place in the workplace. We deliver a powerful message that leaves each organization with tools and policy suggestions that can aid in the creation of a positive work environment and the achievement of a healthier lifestyle.

One day in person workshop

This 6 hour in person works provides participants an in depth understanding of mental health and mental illness. This workshop is made up of three modules: Psychological First Aid, a Journey through understanding mental health; The effects of trauma on the body and soul, Critical Incident Stress Management component; Personal reflection, living a healthier life. This workshop will be delivered through a webinar or in person by one of our trauma aware facilitators.

By the end of this session, participants will:

  • Have a better understanding of mental health.
  • How to respond to a distraught employee
  • Be able to recognize the signs and symptoms of common mental health illnesses at work
  • Understand what to say and what not to say when dealing with someone who may be suicidal and the steps toward an intervention.
  • Understand how trauma affects the body.
  • Understand the benefits of clinical counselling for employees
  • Understand policy and procedures around workplace mental health and learn critical intervention techniques during a potential suicidal situation.
  • Provide assistance in building a mental health support system. We show organizations how to build there own low cost mental health Employee Assistance Plan.
