MENTAL HEALTH – REAL STORIES – REAL PEOPLE

Breaking down the stigma around mental health involves vulnerability and open discussion. Hopefully the stories that are told on this podcast will help others and help employers understand that there is an epidemic of mental injuries out there. We all need to know when to take a knee and ask for help. We also need to know its OK to be injured; just like breaking a bone, you need to get it treated to get better. Post Traumatic Stress Injuries are not just hurting First Responders, they are costing employers millions and it is our hope that this forum will help those who are struggling to take a knee and assist the employer to better support their most valuable assets, their employees.

Steve shares a style of trauma informed leadership that helps the listeners fight their own battle against depression and understand the stigma that still exists in all organizations. His guests share their story in way that protects them and allows them to help others who may be feeling the same, the goal is to let those who are struggling know that they are not alone.

Its time to change the way we think about mental health.

Our podcasts are unscripted, they are real, raw and the message is powerful — real people talking about mental health issues. Their purpose: to little by little start breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health.
